چکیده

We study the global attractors of abstract semilinear parabolic equations and their projections to finite-dimensional planes. It is well-known that the attractor can be embedded into the finite-dimensional inertial manifold if the so-called spectral gap condition is satisfied. We show that in the case when the spectral gap condition is violated, it is possible to construct the nonlinearity in such way that the corresponding attractor cannot be embedded into any finite-dimensional Log-Lipschitz manifold and, therefore, does not possess any Mane projections with Log-Lipschitz inverse. In addition, we give an example of finitely smooth nonlinearity such that the attractor has finite Hausdorff but infinite fractal dimension.

New variants of the global Krylov type methods for linear systems with multiple right-hand sides arising in elliptic PDEs

In this paper, we present new variants of global bi-conjugate gradient (Gl-BiCG) and global bi-conjugate residual (Gl-BiCR) methods for solving nonsymmetric linear systems with multiple right-hand sides. These methods are based on global oblique projections of the initial residual onto a matrix Krylov subspace. It is shown that these new algorithms converge faster and more smoothly than the Gl-...

Global Attractors: Topology and Finite-Dimensional Dynamics

Many a dissipative evolution equation possesses a global attractor A with finite Hausdorff dimension d. In this paper it is shown there is an embedding X of A into IR , with N = [2d+2], such that X is the global attractor of some finite-dimensional system on IR with trivial dynamics on X. This allows the construction of a discrete dynamical system on IR which reproduces the dynamics of the time...

0 A ug 2 01 1 Complex - Valued Autoencoders

Autoencoders are unsupervised machine learning circuits whose learning goal is to minimize a distortion measure between inputs and outputs. Linear autoencoders can be defined over any field and only real-valued linear autoencoder have been studied so far. Here we study complex-valued linear autoencoders where the components of the training vectors and adjustable matrices are defined over the co...

Forecasting CO2 emissions in the Persian Gulf States

The Persian Gulf States (Bahrain. Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirate) have dominated the oil and gas sector since the discovery of oil in the region. They are the world largest producers of crude oil, producing about 35 and 25 percent of the world natural gas and crude oil respectively. The use of fossil fuels is directly linked to the release of CO2 into...

Hydrologic responses of watershed assessment to land cover and climate change using soil and water assessment tool model

Predicting the impact of land cover and climate change on hydrologic responses using modeling tools are essential in understanding the movement and pattern of hydrologic processes within the watershed. The paper provided potential implications of land conversions and climate change scenarios on the hydrologic processes of Muleta watershed using soil and water assessment tool model. Model inputs...
